Meertens Instituut

Since the 1930s the Meertens Institute has been acquiring archives and collecting the documents of scholars and institutions working in the fields of folklore, ethnology, dialectology, and onomastics in the Netherlands. The collection is partly created by the Meertens Institute and its researchers and partly collected through the acquisition of archives and documentation from other institutions, commissons, scholars, and collectors. The material is about everyday life and language variation in the Netherlands.
